Two Guitars (Solo)
Two Guitars (Solo)
SKU: mfa7039
“Two Guitars” is a traditional Russian Romani (Gypsy) song, often performed with passionate vocals and virtuosic guitar or balalaika playing.
Other sites claim that it is a well‑known Russian Gypsy (Romani) folk‑song composed by Ivan Vasiliev (1810–1870), and the lyrics were added by Apollon Grigoriev (1822–1864).
It is known in Russian as “Tsyganochka”, which translates roughly to “Gypsy Girl”.
Usually performed on two guitars, but there are many arrangements for different instruments.
The piece is typically fast, fiery, and improvisational—hallmarks of Romani musical style.
