Turtle Tale

Turtle Tale:

I find large sea turtles fascinating. In water they swim gracefully, but out of water, they move rather slowly and with a little slow swing to their step as they lumber across the sand. Thus, I chose to tell the tale of this turtle by writing a good ‘ole down home blues melody. A big bass solo with accompaniment in the right hand combines to complement the turtle’s blues. As the turtle nears his island destination, the tune grows in intensity as it heads for a big finish with a little added bass syncopation. (There might even be a big splash at the end when the turtle finally hits the beach).
