Torna a Surriento or “Come Back to Sorrento” is the English language version of the famous Neapolitan song “Torna a Surriento,” one of Italy’s most beloved traditional melodies.The song is a romantic and emotional plea urging a loved one to return to the beautiful town of Sorrento. It has been performed by major artists including Dean Martin Luciano Pavarotti, and Andrea Bocelli.
The music was composed in by Ernesto De Curtis in1894 (and copyrighted in 1905), originally in Neapolitan; later translated into Italian and English.
