To A Wild Rose (from Woodland Sketches)
To A Wild Rose (from Woodland Sketches)
SKU: ATG10068A
To a Wild Rose is a beautiful piano piece composed by Edward MacDowell. It is the first piece from his Woodland Sketches, Op. 51, completed in 1896. The melody is simple yet evocative, inspired by the wild roses near MacDowell's log cabin. Interestingly, MacDowell initially discarded the fragment, but his wife picked it up, played it, and convinced him of its charm.
Arranged by Anthony Galla-Rini, scored for accordion 1-4.
