Tambourine (Solo)

“Tambourin” is one of the most frequently performed short works by the French composer François‑Joseph Gossec (1734–1829). This lively miniature has become especially popular among flutists and young performers. It appears in many teaching anthologies. Performances online show it as a bright, rhythmic dance with a strong, driving pulse typical of the tambourin—a Provençal folk dance.
