Semiramide Overture

Semiramide Overture

SKU: ATG10077A

The Semiramide Overture is the grand and dramatic introduction to Gioachino Rossini’s opera Semiramide, which premiered in 1823. This overture is a brilliant showcase of Rossini’s signature style, featuring lively orchestration, dazzling crescendos, and intricate melodies. It sets the stage for the opera’s themes of power, intrigue, and betrayal, inspired by the legend of Semiramis, the Queen of Babylon.

This large work is arranged by Anthony Galla-Rini for symphonic accordion ensemble/orchestra with the instruments labelled as for the symphony orchestra (violin, viola, trumpet etc.) but arranged for accordion plus bass accordion and timpani.
