O Bury Me Not:  Duet

This plaintive folk song of the old American West is set as a partner song, one part answering the other antiphonally. It is also known as Old Texas, which demonstrates the tendency in folk music to use different lyrics to the same tune. Both versions, however, convey the inherent sadness of American plains songs.
