God Save The Queen / King

“God Save the King” is the de facto national anthem of the United Kingdom and the royal anthem of several Commonwealth realms, including New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and the Isle of Man.
When the monarch is female, the anthem becomes “God Save the Queen.”

The exact origins of both the words and the melody are uncertain. Several composers have been suggested over the centuries, including:

• John Bull (c. 1562–1628)

• Thomas Ravenscroft (c. 1582–1633)

• Henry Purcell (c. 1659–1695)
