Concerto Grosso in A Minor
SKU: ATG10019A
Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto Grosso in A Minor, RV 522 is part of his famous collection L'estro armonico, Op. 3, published in 1711.
This concerto is written for two violins, strings, and continuo, and is known for its energetic and expressive character.
Anthony Galla-Rini has arranged this work for:
1st violin, 2nd, violin, 3rd violin, 4th violin, viola, cello, bass and has also created an arrangement that is very suitable for accordion to perform each part, using the very large range of the modern accordion. Vivaldi compositions sounds great with accordion ensemble format.
The piece consists of three movements:
-
Allegro – A lively and dramatic opening featuring virtuosic violin passages.
-
Larghetto e spiritoso – A slower, more lyrical section that contrasts with the intensity of the first movement.
-
Allegro – A fast-paced and exhilarating conclusion, showcasing Vivaldi's signature rhythmic drive.
